੫੨ ਬਚਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ
1) ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਤ ਕਰਨੀ - Earn by honest means.
2) ਦਸਵੰਦ ਦੇਣਾ - Give one tenth of your salary.
3) ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਕੰਠ ਕਰਨੀ - Memorize Gurbani.
4) ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਠਣਾ - Wake up Amrit Vela (before dawn).
5) ਸਿਖ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਰੁਚੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨੀ - Serve a Sikh Servant with devotion.
6) ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਸਿਖ ਵਿਧਵਾਨਾ ਤੋ ਪੜਨੇ - Learn the meanings of Gurbani from Sikh Scholars.
7) ਪੰਜ ਕਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਰਹਤ ਦ੍ਰਿਢ਼ ਕਰ ਰਖਣੀ - Follow the discipline of the 5 K's strictly.
8) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਅਭਿਹਾਸ ਕਰਨਾ - Practice Shabad Gurbani in life.
9) ਸਤ -ਸਰੂਪ ਸਤਗੁਰ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰਨਾ - Concentrate on the True Guru (God).
10) ਗੁਰੂ ਗਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੂ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਨਣਾ - Accept Guru Granth Sahib Ji as Guru.
11) ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਰਮ੍ਭ ਵਿਚ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਨੀ - At the beginning of a task, perform ardaas.
12) ਜਮਣ , ਮਰਨ , ਜਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਮੋਕੇ ਜੁਪ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਕਰ ਤਿਹਾਵਲ (ਕੜਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ) ਕਰ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇਆ ਪੰਜ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ , ਅਰਦਾਸ , ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਪੰਜ ਪ੍ਯਾਰਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਜੂਰੀ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਨੂ ਵਰਤਾ ਕੇ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂ ਵਰਤੋਨਾ - At birth, death, or marriage ceremonies, do Japji Sahib, make Karaah Parshaad, do five stanzas of anand sahib, do ardaas, and then distribute Karaah Parshaad to the Panj Pyare, the Granthi, and then to the sangat.
13) ਜਬ ਤਕ ਕੜਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੱਡੋਲ ਬੈਠੇ ਰਹੇ - Until Karaah Parshaad is completely distributed, the Sangat should remain sitting and unmoving.
14) ਅਨੰਦੁ ਵਿਆਹ ਬਿਨਾ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਸਤ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ -Do not start married life without Anand Karaj (Sikh ceremony of marriage).
15) ਪਰ -ਇਸਤਰੀ , ਮਾ -ਭੈਣ , ਧੀ -ਭੈਣ , ਕਰ ਜਾਣਨੀ. ਪਰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਸੰਗ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ - Recognize all other women other than your wife as mothers and sisters. Do not engage in marital behaviour with them.
16) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਮੂਹ ਨਹੀ ਫਿੱਟ੍ਕਾਰਨਾ - Do not silence your wife?
17) ਜਗਤ -ਜੂਠ ਤੰਬਾਕੂ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਦਾ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰਨਾ - Abandon worldly falsehoods and tobacco-poison.
18) ਰੇਹਤਵਾਂਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਨੀ - Keep the company of Sikhs who follow the Rehat and meditate on the Name (of God).
19) ਕਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਦਰਿਦਰ ਨਹ i ਕਰਨਾ - Don't be lazy while doing work.
20) ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਤੇ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਨਾ - Listen and do kirtan and Gurbani discourses daily.
21) ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ , ਚੁਗਲੀ , ਅਤੇ ਇਰਖਾ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨੀ - Do not engage in slander, gossip or spite anyone
22) ਧਨ , ਜਵਾਨੀ , ਤੇ ਕੁਲ -ਜਾਤ ਦਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ (ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਦਕ ਤਹੇ ਦੁਆਏ ਗੋਆਥ . ਸਾਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਿਖਾਂ ਸੰਗ ਹੋਆਥ ) - Do not take pride in wealth, youth and caste. (Mother and Father's caste both castes. All Sikhs of the Guru are siblings)?
23) ਮਤ ਉਚੀ ਤੇ ਸੁਚੀ ਰਖਣੀ - Keep the religious discipline high and pure.
24) ਸ਼ੁਭ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਤੋ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਟਰਨਾ - Do not refrain from doing Righteous deeds.
25) ਬੁਧ ਬਲ ਦਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਵਾਹੇਗੁਰੁ ਨੂ ਜਾਨਣਾ - Recognize God as the giver of intellect and strength.
26) ਸੁਗੰਧ (ਕਸਮ ਸਾਹੁ ) ਦੇ ਕਰ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਜਾਨੋਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੇ ਯਕੀਨ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ - Do not believe a person who swears (one who tries/attempts to convince someone with a 'saun or saugandh').
27) ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਵਿਚਰਨਾ . ਰਾਜ ਕਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਮਤਾ ਦਿਆ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂ ਹਕ ਨਹੀ ਦੇਣਾ - Rule Independently. In the affaris of government, do not give people of other religions authority/power.
28) ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਨੀ - Study politics.
29) ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਮ , ਦਾਮ , ਭੇਦ , ਆਦਿਕ , ਉਪਾਆ ਵਰਤਣੇ - With the enemy, practice/deploy the various techniques/tactics of diplomacy (saam, daam, dand, bhed).
30) ਸ਼ਸਤਰ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਨਾ - Practice the knowledge of weaponry and horse riding.
31) ਦੂਸਰੇ ਮਤਾ ਦੇ ਪੁਸਤਕ , ਵਿਦ੍ਯਾ ਪੜ੍ਹਨੀ . ਪਰ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਢ਼ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ , ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਤੇ ਕਰਨਾ - Study the books and knowledge of other faiths. But keep trust in Gurbani and Akal Purukh.
32) ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਾ ਨੂ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ - Follow the teachings of the Guru.
33) ਰਹਰਾਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਕਰ ਖੜੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਨੀ - After Rehras Paatth, do Ardaas standing up.
34) ਸੋਉਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ 'ਪਾਉਣ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਤਾ ...' ਸਲੋਕ ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ - Recite Sohila and 'paun guru pani pita...' stanza before going to sleep.
35) ਦਸਤਾਰ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਨਾ - Wear a turban at all times.
36) ਸਿੰਘਾ ਦਾ ਆਧਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀ ਬੁਲਾਉਣਾ - Do not call a Singh by half of their name (nickname).
37) ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਨਾਈ ਸੇਵਨਿ - Do not partake of alcoholic drinks.
38) ਸਿਰ ਮੁਨੇ ਨੂ ਕਨਇਆ ਨਹੀ ਦੇਣੀ . ਓਸ ਘਰ ਦੇਵਨੀ ਜਿਥੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰੁਖ ਦੀ ਸਿਖੀ ਹੈ , ਜੋ ਕਰਜਾਈ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ , ਭਲੇ ਸੁਭਾ ਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ , ਬਿਬੇਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਯਾਨ ਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ - Do not given a daughter's hand to a clean shaven. Give her hand in a house where God's Sikhi exists, where the household is not in debt, is of a good nature, is disciplined and knowledgeable.
39) ਸੁਭ ਕਾਰਜ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰਨੇ - Do all work in accordance with Gurbani.
40) ਚੁਗਲੀ ਕਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਕਾਮ ਨਹੀ ਵਿਗਾੜਨਾ - Do not ruin someone's work by gossip.
41) ਕੋੜਾ ਬਚਨ ਨਹੀ ਕਿਹਣਾ - Do not utter bitter statements.
42) ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਾ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਕਰਨੀ - Make pilgrimages to Gurudwaras only.
43)ਬਚਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਾਲਨਾ -Fulfill all promises that are made.
44) ਪਰਦੇਸੀ , ਲੋਡਵਾਂਨ , ਦੁਖੀ , ਅਪੁੰਗ ਮਨੁਖ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਾਹ ਸ਼ਕਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ - Do as much sewa as you can for foreigners, the needy and the troubled.
45) ਪੁਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਧਨ ਬਿਖ ਜਾਨਣਾ - Recognize the property of a daughter as poison?
46) ਦਿਖਾਵੇ ਦਾ ਸਿਖ ਨਹੀ ਬਣਨਾ - Do not become an outward show-off Sikh.
47) ਸਿਖੀ ਕੇਸਾ -ਸੁਆਸਾ ਸੰਗ ਨਿਭਾਓਨੀ - Live and die a Keshadhaari Sikh.
48) ਚੋਰੀ , ਯਾਰੀ , ਠ੍ਹਗੀ , ਧੋਕਾ , ਦਗਾ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ - Refrain from engaging in theft, adultery / promiscuity / permissiveness , fraud, deceit, embezzlement.
49) ਸਿਖ ਦਾ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ - Believe a Sikh.
50) ਝੂਠੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਨਹੀ ਦੇਣੀ - Do not give false testimony.
51) ਧ੍ਰੋਹ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ - Do not cheat.
